The Chief Imam of Offa, Sheikh (Dr) Muhyidin Salman Hussein Al-Imam, on Tuesday showcased the ongoing construction of the Sheikh Tajul Adaby Muslim Hospital to Engr. Akeem Ibrahim Adediji, FNSE, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Adediji Construction Nigeria Ltd during a courtesy visit to Offa, Kwara State.
Following a private meeting at his resident, the Islamic cleric led Engr. Adediji on an inspection tour of the medical facility, which is located beside the Iyeru Okin Local Government Area School for Special Needs in Offa.
The project, according to the Chief Imam, is conceived as a faith-driven humanitarian intervention aimed at providing accessible healthcare services, particularly for the less privileged.
Sheikh Al-Imam explained that the hospital is inspired by his deep understanding of the pains, anguish and emotional distress endured by the sick.
He added that the facility is intended to serve humanity while promoting the core values of compassion and service enjoined by Islam.
He disclosed that efforts were ongoing to ensure the completion of the project ahead of the Maulud Nabiyy celebration in 2026, when the hospital is expected to be opened for public use.
During the tour, Engr. Adediji was taken round key sections of the facility, including male and female wards, children’s wards, a doctors’ lodge, and four residential apartments designed to accommodate nurses, including the matron.
