PDP Vice Chairmanship Candidate in Offa LG, Hon Adedoyin Adesoye Reportedly Resigns Party Membership

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Offa Local Government Area of Kwara State has been thrown into fresh political conversation following the reported resignation of its former vice chairmanship candidate, Hon. Princess Adedoyin Adesoye.

Adedoyin, who contested as the PDP’s vice chairmanship candidate in the 2023 Offa Local Government Council election, formally announced her exit from the party in a resignation letter dated December 15, 2025.

The letter was addressed to the Ward Chairman of the party in Essa ‘C’ Ward, Offa Local Government Area.

In the letter, she stated that her resignation from the PDP was effective immediately.

She expressed appreciation for the opportunity to have been part of the party but did not disclose the reasons behind her decision.

Copies of the resignation letter were also forwarded to the Chairman of the PDP in Offa Local Government Area, Hon Jide Jatto.

This signals a formal and complete disengagement from the party’s structures at both ward and local government levels.

The development gained further public attention after a photograph surfaced showing Adedoyin in the company of the Adviser on Political Matters to the Executive Governor of Kwara State, Hon. Abdulwahab Femi Agbaje Whyte, and the Chairman of Offa Local Government Area, Hon. Sulaiman Olatunji Laaro Omituntun. The picture was taken at the residence of Agbaje Whyte.

As of the time of filing this report, Adedoyin has not made any public statement to either confirm or deny the implications of the development, nor has she officially clarified her next political move.

Efforts to obtain reactions from the leadership of the PDP in Offa Local Government Area were unsuccessful, as party officials had yet to issue an official response to the resignation.
