The National Office of the Offa Youths Forum (OYF) has outlined a series of notable achievements under the current leadership.
The Forum also unveiled strategic plans to further strengthen the organisation ahead of its forthcoming national election.
In a statement released by the National President, Chief Isyaka Shittu Dayo, the Forum highlighted what it described as a period of “remarkable growth, restructuring, and renewed purpose” since the inauguration of the present executive team.
Among the accomplishments listed is the expansion and revitalisation of the association across multiple chapters, including the successful reactivation of the Offa Branch and the establishment of the Lagos Branch.
The national leadership also celebrated the smooth conduct of credible elections at the state level.
The statement further noted that the Forum has achieved significant institutional milestones, including the successful organisation of its 20th Anniversary Celebration, a free medical outreach for community residents, and the procurement of one and a half plots of land for the construction of the OYF National Secretariat in Offa.
Additionally, the Forum successfully convened two editions of the OYF Youth Conference and produced a comprehensive National Constitution to guide the operations of the organisation.
As the Forum prepares for its National Election, which was initially scheduled for December 2025 but shifted to May 30, 2026, due to insecurity, the leadership has laid out several priority actions.
These include the creation of an Ex-Officio platform to engage past leaders, the establishment of a National Executive Platform to improve internal communication, and the mobilisation of resources to clear 12 years of outstanding annual returns owed to the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC).
Other planned activities include restructuring the Board of Trustees to reflect more active membership, nominating and onboarding new BoT members, which is an exercise to be coordinated by elders and ex-officio members and commencing early groundwork for the 2026 national congress in Offa.
Chief Shittu reaffirmed the Forum’s commitment to institutional stability, transparency, and youth-focused development as it approaches a defining transition phase.
He subsequently added that the outlined plans demonstrate OYF’s resolve to consolidate on its gains and reposition for a stronger future.
