On behalf of myself, my family and the entire Adediji family of Esunja Compound, Jagun Idi-Isin, Offa, Kwara State, I return all glory to Almighty Allah (SWT) and express my deepest gratitude to the good people of Offa, Kwara State, Nigeria and beyond for the overwhelming love, honour and goodwill shown to me during the Qur’ān Walimat, the Commissioning of the Adediji Jumm’ah Mosque and my 90th Birthday Reception.
I am profoundly humbled by the massive turnout, prayers, kind words, gifts and show of affection that accompanied these historic triple events.
I specially appreciate the presence, prayers and royal blessings of our revered monarch, His Royal Majesty, Oba Mufutau Muhammad Gbadamosi Oloyede Okikiola Esuwoye II, Ajagungbade I, the Olofa of Offa, as well as our distinguished royal fathers, including but not limited to His Royal Majesty, Oba Moshood Adeyimika Olawale Olaleke II, the Afaaji of Faaji Land; His Royal Majesty, Oba Abdulwahab Oyewale Oyetoro, the Onira of Ira; His Royal Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Abdul-Razaq Adebayo Abioye (Ilufemiloye I), the Olukotun of Ikotun-Ile; His Royal Majesty, Oba Abdulazeez Olasunkanmi Olatooye VII, the Onidun of Igboidun; and His Royal Majesty, Oba Adetoyese Oyeniyi Odugbemi, the Olufi of Gbongan.
I also sincerely appreciate the invaluable spiritual leadership of the Chief Imam of Offa, Sheikh (Dr.) Muhyidin Salman Hussein Al-Imam, the Naibu-l-Imam of Offa, Sheikh (Dr.) Kazeem Baba, Shaykh Muhyiddin Raji Arojo, Wakilul Muslimin of Offa, Shaykh AbdulRashid Arikewusola Funrae, Grand Muqaddam of Tijaniyyah of Offa, Sheikh Muhammad Qasim Gbolahan Olatunji Baba, Deputy Chief Imam of Offa, and other eminent Islamic scholars who led prayers and supplications.
My appreciation also goes to Dr. (Alhaji) Najeem Usman Yasin, Makaman of Gusau and Bashorun of Offaland; Hon. Sulaiman Olatunji Laaro Omituntun, Chairman of Offa Local Government; Alhaji Musbau Olalekan Olaniyi, the Aare Bobajiroro of Offa; and all sons and daughters of Offa Kingdom who stood solidly with me.
The commissioning of the Adediji Jumm’ah Mosque remains a lifelong fulfilment for me and my family, and I thank Almighty Allah for granting us the grace to contribute meaningfully to the spiritual growth of our dear community.
I sincerely appreciate the organising committee, volunteers, security agencies, media organisations and everyone who worked tirelessly to ensure the success of these events.
May Almighty Allah reward you all abundantly, grant you good health, long life and peace, and continue to bless Offa Kingdom with unity, progress and prosperity.
