A frontline aspirant for the Kwara State House of Assembly in the 2027 general election, Hon. Alhaji Sarafadeen Babatunde Oladipo, popularly known as Laka Omo Alubarika, has secured the endorsement of the Asejere Social Club.
This further strengthens his grassroots support within the Essa/Shawo/Igbodun State Constituency.
The endorsement followed a strategic meeting between Laka and members of the club held on Monday, December 29, 2025, where both sides engaged in consultations aimed at consolidating support ahead of the 2027 polls.
Speaking after the meeting, the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for Ojomu Central ‘B’ Ward in Offa Local Government Area, Alhaji Yusuf Owolabi Hakeem, popularly known as Oko Eleha, confirmed the group’s position.
According to him, members of the Asejere Social Club unanimously adopted Laka as their preferred candidate for the constituency seat.
He said he is their political icon and patron.
“They have openly declared that they will not support any other aspirant apart from Hon. Laka. They want the APC to present him as the flag bearer for the Essa/Shawo/Igbodun Constituency. They have pledged their loyalty to him. It is a synergy,” Hakeem said.
He added that the meeting provided an opportunity to strategise on ward-level mobilisation and strengthen grassroots structures in preparation for the election.
