The Offa Metropolitan Club (OMC) Medical Centre has announced the commencement of weekly specialist consultation clinics aimed at reducing the burden on patients who often travel long distances — including outside the state — for medical attention.
This isin its continued commitment to providing quality and accessible healthcare services to residents within and around its community.
According to a statement signed by the OMC Medical Committee and dated November 3, 2025, the initiative is designed to ensure that patients can receive quick, affordable, and expert medical consultations without the stress of long-distance travel.
The hospital disclosed that the specialist clinics would run on specific days each week, with each session scheduled from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.. The schedule includes:
1. General Surgeon Clinics — Every Tuesday
2. Obstetrician Clinics — Every Wednesday
3. Paediatric Clinics — Every Thursday
4. Cardiologist Clinics — Every Saturday
The management stated that the new arrangement reflects its mission to bring “quality medical expertise closer to the people” while maintaining affordability across all services.
Aside from the specialist consultations, OMC Medical Centre continues to operate a 24-hour service with a full complement of doctors and nurses available to meet patients’ needs at all times.
“This new development is part of our ongoing effort to make healthcare not just available, but accessible, reliable, and human-centered,” the statement added.
Residents have been encouraged to take advantage of the newly introduced specialist clinics as the hospital begins implementation this week.
