Kwara NLA Urges Wide Participation in 2025 Golden Conference

The Nigerian Library Association (NLA), Kwara State Chapter, has appealed to librarians, authors, students, publishers, and the general public to actively participate in the forthcoming Golden Conference 2025.

The event is slated for November 19–20 at the Academic Board Room, Federal Polytechnic, Offa, Kwara State.

Speaking on behalf of the association, Assistant Secretary Mahammuod Sulyman Olaitan emphasized the importance of widespread involvement, describing the event as a golden opportunity for knowledge sharing, networking, and professional growth.

“The success of the Golden Conference depends on the active engagement of all stakeholders in the library and information sector. We encourage participants to attend, present papers, showcase publications, and contribute to discussions that will shape the future of librarianship in Kwara State and Nigeria at large,” Olaitan said.

The conference will feature a rich programme including paper presentations, panel sessions, a book launch, public presentation of the NLA Compendium, and an exhibition highlighting innovations in library services and academic publishing.

Olaitan urged interested participants to submit their papers and publications in advance and to make use of the provided contact lines—08032287734, 08066902549, and 08067884749—for inquiries.

Organizers expect the event to attract a diverse mix of professionals and academics from across Nigeria, fostering collaboration, professional development, and the promotion of research in the field of library and information science.

The NLA Kwara Chapter described the conference as an invaluable platform for learning, engagement, and celebrating the contributions of librarians and scholars to education and society.
