Markaz Fawaaidul Arobiyyah Wal Islamiyyah, in partnership with Zawiyyatu Gege-Ire fii Toreeqotu Tijaniyyah, has announced plans to hold its annual Maolud Nabiyy celebration on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at the grounds behind Yidi Praying Ground in Offa, Kwara State.
The programme themed “Gege-Ire 2025,” this year’s event is expected to draw Islamic scholars, clerics, students, and faithful from across the country.
In keeping with its long-standing tradition of promoting Islamic education and moral revival, the Markaz said the celebration aims to reinforce unity among Muslims while deepening understanding of the Prophet Muhammad’s (SAW) noble character and teachings.
The event will feature a keynote lecture by renowned Islamic scholar, Fadeelat Sheikh Dr. Jum’ah Adam Abdullahi Al-Alory (popularly known as Baba Lagege), the Mudeeru of Markaz-ul-Itqan.
Speaking ahead of the programme, the Chief Host, Fadeelat Sheikh Ustaz Salman Zubair Taofeequl Khair (Baba Gege-Ire), who also serves as the Grand Mufty of Igboaran Alayaki in Asa Local Government Area, reaffirmed the centre’s commitment to spreading authentic Islamic knowledge and preserving the values of the Tijaniyyah order.
He described the Maolud as more than a celebration, stressing that it represents “a call to spiritual reflection, unity, and moral rebirth.”
“Sheikh Taofeequl Khair urged Muslim faithful and well-wishers to attend in large numbers, adding that their presence would contribute to the success of the event and the strengthening of communal bonds.
‘Jazaakumullahu khairan, as you come,’ he concluded.”
