The Ajase-Ipo Volleyball Club (AVC) has released another galore of appreciation to distinguished individuals and supporters who have contributed to the team’s remarkable journey.
This follows its historic qualification for the 2026 Nigeria Volleyball Premier League.
In a statement issued by the club’s Head Coach, Afelele Taiye Hassan, Ajase-Ipo VC expressed profound gratitude to a fresh list of volleyball personalities and friends of the team whose encouragement, mentorship, and goodwill have been instrumental to their success story.
Among those specially appreciated are Prince Babatunde Omisoore, the Mikasa Ambassador for Nigeria Volleyball, whose technical and moral support to grassroots volleyball has been widely acknowledged; Alh. AA Sadiq (CEO Adekunle Sadiq Foundation, BHM properties Ibadan), a respected volleyball enthusiast and patron of youth sports; and Commando Audu of the Nigerian Army, known for his continuous backing of the sport across military formations.
The club also lauded Prince Babajide Abdulkabir, a revered veteran of the game; Kwara State Head Coach, Mr. Badmus Adewale; Head Coach of Offa Volleyball Club, Coach Ajeigbe Sulaiman Olayinka; and Head Coach of Olalomi Royals, Coach Bukola Faremi, for their camaraderie, mentorship, and collaborative efforts in promoting volleyball development in Kwara State and beyond.
“Ajase-Ipo Volleyball Club’s journey to the Premier League was not walked alone. These individuals have stood by us in different capacities—sharing ideas, motivating our players, and supporting the dream of raising Ajase-Ipo’s flag high in Nigerian volleyball,” Coach Afelele said.
He added that the club’s qualification is not just a victory for Ajase-Ipo, but also for Kwara State volleyball and all who continue to invest their time, expertise, and passion in the sport.
“With their continued encouragement, we believe Ajase-Ipo VC will not just participate but compete strongly among the best in the 2026 Nigeria Volleyball Premier League,” he concluded.
