The Chief Imam of Offa, Sheikh Muhyidin Salman Hussein Al-Imam, is set to turban Hon. Giwa Musemil Kehinde (popularly known as GMK) as the Amirush-Shabab of Offa.
According to an invitation released by Bahrul Ulum Al-Adabiy Al-Kamaliy Institute of Arabic Studies in collaboration with Jam’ah Al-Imam Muhyid-din Salman Husayn, the ceremony will take place on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at the school premises in Offa, Kwara State.
The event, which is expected to draw dignitaries, religious leaders, and traditional rulers, will be presided over by the Chief Imam of Offa, Sheikh Muhyidin Salman Hussein Al-Imam, who is also the Chief Host.
The spiritual father of the day will be As-Sheikh Abdul Qadir Kamaluddin of Khalifatul Adabiyyah, while the royal father of the day is the Olofa of Offa, His Royal Majesty, Oba Mufutau Muhammad Gbadamosi Okikiola Esuwoye II, Ajagungbade I.
The turbaning of Hon. Giwa Musemil Kehinde as Amirush-Shabab—a revered title that translates to “Leader of the Youth”—is seen as a recognition of his contributions to youth development, communal service, and leadership in Offa and beyond.
Community members and well-wishers have been cordially invited to witness the historic ceremony.
