The Deputy Senate Leader and Senator representing Kwara South Senatorial District, Senator Oyelola Yisa Ashiru, has mourned the passing of Chief Joseph Adeniyi Aderibigbe.
He described him as “a man of honour, wisdom, and exemplary dedication to public service.”
In a condolence message issued on Thursday, Senator Ashiru extolled the late Aderibigbe’s outstanding contributions to the development of Kwara State and Nigeria, noting that his decades of meritorious service left an indelible mark in the civil service.
He recalled that Chief Aderibigbe served as Provincial Secretary in the old Northern Region, Secretary to the Kwara State Government, and later Head of Service, where he exemplified integrity, professionalism, and selfless leadership.
“Chief Aderibigbe was a distinguished statesman who devoted his life to building efficient public institutions and mentoring a generation of administrators,” Ashiru said. “His passing is a great loss not only to Erin-Ile but to Kwara State and the entire nation.”
The lawmaker extended his condolences to the deceased’s family, the Elerin of Erin-Ile, and the entire Erin-Ile community, praying that God would grant them the strength to bear the loss.
“May the Almighty grant his noble soul eternal rest and comfort his loved ones, His Royal Highness, and the people of Kwara with the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss,” he added.
