Radda Reshuffles Cabinet, Appoints New Advisers

Katsina State Governor, Dikko Umaru Radda, has announced a reshuffle of his cabinet, reassigning key commissioners and appointing two new special advisers in a move aimed at boosting administrative efficiency and improving service delivery across the state.

The development, disclosed in a statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Ibrahim Mohamed, on Friday, takes immediate effect.

According to the statement, the governor said the reorganisation was part of deliberate efforts to strengthen governance structures and reposition his administration to deliver optimally on its “Building Your Future” agenda.

Under the new arrangement, Adnan Nahabu becomes Commissioner for Higher, Vocational and Technical Education, while Professor Ahmad Muhammad Bakori, formerly in charge of Agriculture and Livestock Development, now heads the newly created Ministry of Livestock Development.

Yusuf Suleiman Jibia assumes office as Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, just as Engineer Surajo Yazid Abukur has been appointed Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development.

In the same vein, Hadiza Abubakar Yar’adua has been appointed Special Adviser on Nutrition and Welfare Services, while Isa Muhammad Musa is the new Special Adviser on Cultural Orientation.

Governor Radda charged the appointees to demonstrate renewed commitment, loyalty, and innovation in the discharge of their duties. He emphasised that the reshuffle was intended to enhance coordination, deepen sectoral expertise, and accelerate the implementation of critical projects across key areas such as education, health, agriculture, youth empowerment, and social welfare.

The Katsina governor expressed optimism that the new appointments would inject fresh energy into his administration’s drive to deliver people-oriented governance and sustainable development across the state.
