Play With Kwara Youths (PWKY), a non-governmental organisation championing youth unity and development through sports, has commenced registration for its 5th Annual Sports Fiesta.
The initiative, formally registered as Sports for Kwara Youths Initiative, announced that the registration window would run from Sunday, October 12, to Wednesday, October 15, 2025.
Convener of the organisation, Yusuf Mutiu, said the annual event was conceived to promote peace, oneness, and social harmony among Kwara youths irrespective of religion, political affiliation, or ethnic background.
“PWKY is designed to foster a strong and united society, even in times of divisive politics. We expect wide participation again this year as we continue to use sports as a bridge for unity,” Mutiu stated.
He explained that each team would be limited to a maximum of 15 players per squad, urging interested participants to register before the closing date.
“We advise all intending participants to complete the registration form carefully and submit it on or before Wednesday, October 15,” he added.
Since its inception, PWKY has consistently used sports as a platform to drive youth engagement, leadership development, and communal bonding across Kwara State.

The forthcoming edition of the PWKY Sports Fiesta is expected to attract hundreds of young athletes from the state’s 16 local government areas, making it one of the most anticipated youth events in the Kwara sporting calendar.
