Member of the Kwara State House of Assembly representing Ojomu Balogun Constituency, Ogbeni Seun Ogunniyi, has paid a condolence visit to the family of the late Pa Chief Joseph Adeniyi Aderibigbe, the first Secretary to the State Government (SSG) and Head of Service of Kwara State.
Pa Aderibigbe, who passed on at the remarkable age of 104 years, was celebrated for his sterling contributions to public administration and his pioneering role in the formative years of Kwara State.
During the condolence visit, Ogbeni Ogunniyi was received by Barrister Debo Aderibigbe, who represented the family.
He expressed his sympathy to the Aderibigbe family and the Erin-Ile community over the demise of the statesman.
He described him as “an illustrious son of Kwara whose administrative ingenuity helped shape the foundation of the state during its transition from regional to state governance.”
Ogunniyi lauded the late elder statesman’s exceptional record of service, integrity, and dedication to public good, noting that his life epitomised humility, discipline, and visionary leadership.
He prayed that God grants the Aderibigbe family the fortitude to bear the loss and that the soul of the deceased finds eternal rest.
