The event, held on September 21, brought together political leaders, community members, and beneficiaries from Shawo South-East Ward, which Hon. Yunus represents at the Council.
As part of the celebration, the lawmaker distributed a range of empowerment items and educational materials, including three grinding machines, seven agricultural sprayers, and five solar streetlights.
He also donated 1,000 copies of 40-leaf exercise books, 12 packs of biros, 24 packs of pencils, and a signpost to Asaru-Islam Primary School.
In addition, fifty individuals received financial support to assist their small-scale businesses and personal needs.
Speaking at the event, Hon. Yunus said the initiative was part of his commitment to giving back to the people who entrusted him with their mandate. He emphasized the importance of empowering the grassroots and supporting education as tools for sustainable community development.
“I believe true leadership is about service, and this is my own way of showing appreciation to my people and motivating others to keep faith with good governance,” he stated.
