IMO Felicitates Dr. Yeye Afolashade Shona Aluko on Her Installation as Yeye Bobajiro Oodua

The Chief Executive Officer of MDD Nigeria Ltd, Mr. Idowu Muhydeen Oladipo (IMO), has congratulated Dr. (Mrs.) Yeye Afolashade Shona Aluko on her installation as the Yeye Bobajiro Oodua , Ile-Ife, describing the honour as a well-deserved recognition of a woman of distinction, grace, and service.

Dr. Shona Aluko was recently conferred with the revered title by His Imperial Majesty, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, CFR, Ooni of Ife (Ojaja II), the Arole Oduduwa and spiritual head of the Yoruba race.

In a statement issued in Lagos, IMO hailed the recognition as a celebration of a woman who has, over the years, demonstrated exceptional leadership, philanthropy, and an unwavering commitment to human and community development.

He noted that Yeye Afolashade’s ascension to the traditional throne was not only a personal achievement but also a symbolic reminder of the enduring strength and grace of Yoruba womanhood.

“Her elevation by the Ooni of Ife is a testament to her track record of excellence, compassion, and consistent service to humanity. Through her many initiatives and acts of generosity, she has proven to be a pillar of support to countless individuals and communities,” IMO stated.

He further expressed confidence that her new role at the ancestral home of the Yoruba nation would deepen her mission of promoting unity, culture, and values that foster collective progress.

“As she assumes the revered responsibilities of Yeye Bobajiro of the Source, I pray that Almighty God grants her the wisdom, good health, and divine guidance needed to fulfil this sacred duty. Her life has been a model of courage, integrity, and compassion — qualities that will continue to inspire generations,” he added.

IMO, whose firm, MDD Nigeria Ltd, is a leading player in the real estate sector, concluded by reaffirming his admiration for Dr. Shona Aluko’s achievements and his belief that her reign would usher in greater harmony and pride among the Yoruba people.
