All roads will soon lead to Erin-Ile in Kwara State as the ancient town sets for the coronation celebrations of her new monarch, His Royal Majesty, Oba Jimoh Adebowale Adesoye (Adetona I), in a grand seven-day celebration that blends culture, spirituality, and economic vision.

The coronation festivities, scheduled to begin on Sunday, November 9, and climax on Saturday, November 15, 2025, will not only mark the official enthronement of the Elerin but also herald a new chapter of growth and unity for the Erin-Ile kingdom.

According to a detailed itinerary released by the Coronation Planning Committee, the events have been carefully curated to reflect the town’s deep cultural heritage and forward-looking development agenda.

The celebration opens on a spiritual note on Sunday, November 9, with a Special Thanksgiving Service at St. Mathias Church, Erin-Ile, where prayers will be offered for divine guidance and a peaceful reign.

From Monday, November 10, the community will embrace service and empowerment with a five-day Medical Outreach, aimed at improving the well-being of residents. The day will also feature a Youth and ESA Day, focusing on the younger generation’s role in the town’s socio-economic advancement.

Development initiatives take the spotlight on Tuesday, November 11, with the Commissioning of a Project at Erin-Ile Secondary School, followed by a Youth Enlightenment Programme at Igbayilola and a special session of the Ade Memorial Foundation.

The cultural vibrancy of Erin-Ile will take centre stage on Wednesday, November 12, during the Cultural and Traditional Day, showcasing the town’s colourful dances, regalia, and customs — a reflection of the Elerin’s people and pride.

A major highlight comes on Thursday, November 13, when the community hosts a National Conference on Erin-Ile Economic Development Strategy alongside the Launching of the Moje Development Limited Investment Prospectus. The event aims to chart a strategic economic roadmap for the town, drawing investors, development experts, and stakeholders eager to contribute to Erin-Ile’s sustainable growth.

On Friday, November 14, the penultimate day, attention shifts to faith and sportsmanship with a Special Jumat Service and the Grand Finale of the Elerin Cup Football Competition at Baptist Primary School, Erin-Ile — a spirited display of unity and youthful energy.

The celebrations will reach a majestic crescendo on Saturday, November 15, with the Grand Coronation Ceremony, where Oba Jimoh Adebowale Adesoye (Adetona I) will officially ascend the throne amid royal splendour, pageantry, and the blessings of the ancestors.

In a statement signed by Chief Samuel Alabi, the Oluomo of Erin-Ile and Chairman of the Coronation Planning Committee, the town expressed readiness to host dignitaries and well-wishers from across Nigeria and beyond.
