Catch Them Young Debate Competition: Anchor Lauds Hon. BJ’s Commitment to Education, Youth Empowerment

The anchor of the Catch Them Young Quiz Competition, Adeyemo Halimat Toyosi, has expressed appreciation to Hon. Bolaji AbduRauf (Hon. BJ) for his exceptional commitment to education and youth empowerment following the successful conclusion of the competition in Offa, Kwara State.

The educational radio programme, which aired on Okin 105.7 FM, came to a close on Saturday, attracting widespread commendation from students, teachers, and parents across the community for its inspiring impact on young learners.

Adeyemo, who anchored the programme throughout its duration, described Hon. Abdu-Rauf as “a visionary leader whose passion for education continues to transform lives.”

“As the host of the Catch Them Young Quiz Competition, I’m truly honoured to have been part of this inspiring journey. My deepest gratitude goes to Hon. Bolaji Abdu-Rauf, whose vision and commitment made this competition a reality. His dedication to empowering young minds is commendable and serves as a beacon of hope for our future,” she said.

She further praised Hon. Abdu-Rauf’s continued investment in educational advancement, noting that his support extends beyond the quiz competition.

The aspiring lawmaker, she said, also sponsored the Offa Students Union 2025 Summer Programme and paid school fees for over 60 students within the constituency.

According to her, the Catch Them Young Quiz Competition has achieved its goal of stimulating intellectual curiosity among students, promoting academic excellence, and fostering healthy competition among schools in Offa.

“This competition is more than just a contest; it is a celebration of knowledge, collaboration, and community spirit. Hon. BJ’s belief in the potential of our youth and his investment in their education show the kind of leadership our society needs,” Adeyemo added.

The competition, which featured pupils and students from various schools in Offa, rewarded participants with educational materials, mathematical sets, and other incentives donated by the sponsor.
