Hon Azeez Oyeyemi Olanrewaju Omoluabi has carried out a community service exercise at Offa General Hospital by sponsoring the spraying of anti-snake and weed-control chemicals within the hospital premises.
Oyeyemi, who is also the founder of the Ileri Oluwa Foundation, said he was prompted to act after visiting the hospital for a dental check-up.
“I got to the hospital and saw some men cutting the grasses. They told me it wasn’t their first time within the month and that snakes are sometimes seen there. Out of concern for the safety of patients and staff, I decided to buy chemicals and engage people to spray the surroundings,” he explained.
The business man and the community advocate stressed that the exercise was part of his personal and foundation’s commitment to supporting the welfare of Offa residents.
“This is not a one-time effort. We have been supporting people in different ways—paying school fees, helping farmers, and empowering residents. Very soon, we are planning a training on agronomy for youths in Offa to encourage farming and food production,” he added.
Oyeyemi reaffirmed his pledge to continue contributing to the progress of Offa, saying his actions are driven by his faith and passion for community development.
