As part of ongoing efforts to strengthen service delivery across Primary Health Care centres in Kwara State, the Kwara State Government through the Kwara State Primary Health Care Development Agency (KWSPHCDA), on Thursday launched off a 4-day orientation programme for over 1,000 newly recruited Primary Health Care workers by His Excellency Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.
The programme being held in batches at Mucenty Hotel, Omu-Aran, draws participants from all the 16 Local Government Areas of the state.
The orientation sponsored under the Human Capital Opportunities for Prosperity and Equity (Project HOPE) initiative, underscores Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq’s strategic investment in human capital development as a cornerstone for revitalising the state’s healthcare architecture for the greater good.
It also featured sessions on performance management, the ethics of working within primary health care systems, financial accountability, local government dynamics, and community health oversight designed to equip participants with the knowledge and professionalism required for frontline service.
Present at the session as resource persons were senior officials from the Kwara State Primary Health Care Development Agency (KWSPHCDA) alongside a Director from the Local Government Service Commission.
