The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress has commended President Bola Tinubu for what it described as his unmatched commitment to inclusive governance, national unity, and merit-based leadership.
In a statement on Tuesday, the party’s spokesman, Seye Oladejo, said Tinubu’s administration had raised the bar for participatory leadership in Nigeria.
“President Bola Tinubu is building a Nigeria where every citizen, regardless of tribe, tongue, or faith, feels seen, heard, and valued.
“In an era where many democracies are struggling with division, the Tinubu administration stands as proof that unity can be built — not by slogans — but through shared opportunity, merit-based leadership, and inclusive national planning,”
Oladejo said.
He noted that Tinubu’s appointments and policies had reflected gender balance, youth inclusion, and equitable representation across the six geopolitical zones.
According to him, the cabinet remained one of the most diverse in Nigeria’s history, with women and historically marginalised groups playing central roles in shaping policy.
Oladejo also highlighted Tinubu’s decision to appoint competent Nigerians from opposition parties, civil society, and the private sector, saying this showed governance under the President was about “progress, not partisanship.”
“In appointing competent Nigerians from opposition parties, civil society, and the private sector, the President has shown that governance is not about partisanship but progress.
“This inclusive strategy has fostered a national climate of collaboration, idea-driven policymaking, and renewed public trust. It sends a clear message: Nigeria belongs to all of us.
“President Tinubu’s administration has also opened the doors of leadership to the younger generation.
“With several appointments of individuals under 40 into strategic roles, the administration is not only recognising youth capacity but structurally empowering them to help shape the Nigeria of the future.
“This youthful inclusion is particularly significant in sectors like technology, entertainment, renewable energy, and the digital economy, where innovation is driving development.
“From infrastructural projects across regions to social programmes targeting rural dwellers, women, people with disabilities and underserved communities, inclusivity has become a deliberate strategy for national development,” he said.
The spokesman cited projects such as the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway, Port Harcourt-Maiduguri Rail Line, and Kaduna Dry Port as evidence of the administration’s vision of shared prosperity.
Oladejo urged Nigerians to continue supporting Tinubu, stressing that the President had defied ethnic, religious, and partisan boundaries to deliver fairness, representation, and progress.
“We call on all Nigerians to support this administration as it continues to lead with purpose, fairness, and vision,” Oladejo said.
When President Tinubu assumed office on May 29, 2023, debates around the inclusiveness of his administration dominated public discourse.
His emergence on a Muslim-Muslim ticket raised concerns about religious balance, while questions were also asked about whether appointments and policies would reflect Nigeria’s ethnic, regional, and gender diversity.
