The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has appointed Mr Andy Odeh and Mrs Morenike Adewunmi as its new spokespersons.
The oil giant made the announcement in a statement issued on Tuesday, stating that Odeh would serve as Chief Corporate Communications Officer while Adewunmi takes on the role of Chief Relations Officer.
Odeh, a seasoned communicator, brings to the table over 26 years of experience, having spent a distinguished career at Nigeria LNG Limited (NLNG). Adewunmi, on her part, is a respected legal professional with more than 25 years in the oil and gas sector, where she has carved a niche for herself in stakeholder relations and corporate governance.
Their appointment follows the resignation of Olufemi Soneye, the company’s former spokesperson.
Industry watchers say the move signals NNPCL’s commitment to strengthening its corporate communications and stakeholder engagement at a time the oil and gas sector is grappling with reforms and heightened public scrutiny.
