The Offa Descendants’ Union (ODU), under the leadership of its National President, Dr. Muideen Azeez Olaniyi Salako, has congratulated Dr. Latifat Kehinde Olatinwo on her recent appointment as the Acting Director of the Centre for Gender Studies, Kwara State University (KWASU), Malete.
Dr. Olatinwo, an Associate Professor of Agricultural Extension and Rural Development, was appointed by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Shaykh-Luqman Jimoh, in a notice signed by the Registrar, Dr. Kikelomo W. Sallee, and dated August 26, 2025.
In a statement e-signed by its National Public Relations Officer, Comrade Taofeek Olalekan Olaosebikan, the Union commended Dr. Olatinwo for her academic and professional strides, describing her as “a source of pride to Offa community and a worthy ambassador of the town.”
Dr. Olatinwo joined KWASU in 2017 from the Federal University, Dutsin-Ma, Katsina State. She holds Master’s and Doctorate degrees in Agricultural Extension from the University of Ilorin.
Over the years, she has distinguished herself through extensive research on gender-related issues and championed several community development initiatives aimed at empowering women in rural communities.
ODU, in its congratulatory message, prayed for her continued success in her new leadership role and urged her to sustain her commitment to scholarship and service to humanity.
