The Ikirun College of Health Technology is set to host its maiden research seminar as part of efforts to strengthen a culture of innovation, scholarship, and academic excellence within the institution.
The seminar, billed for Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at the College’s Conference Hall, will commence at 12 noon.
According to a statement signed by the institution’s Public Relations Officer, Adewuyi Simeon Adedotun, on behalf of the Rector and Chief Academic Officer, Mr. Salaudeen Oyewale, the programme will provide a platform for intellectual exchange, capacity building, and knowledge sharing among staff and scholars.
Rector Oyewale described the seminar as a landmark step in aligning the College with global best practices in research and teaching.
He noted that the event would not only broaden the academic horizons of the staff but also position the institution as a hub for knowledge-driven development in health technology education.
“All academic staff are expected to be in attendance, while non-academic staff are encouraged to participate and support this milestone,” the statement added.
To enrich the seminar, the College has invited a guest facilitator, Mr. Shittu Yinusa, a respected researcher from the University of Abuja and former lecturer at Lens Polytechnic Offa.
The management said the event represents a significant milestone in the College’s academic journey and expressed optimism that it would mark the beginning of a sustained culture of research and innovation in the institution.
