The Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, has appointed Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) Benjamin Hundeyin as the new Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO).
Hundeyin, a graduate of English from Lagos State University, also holds a Master’s degree in Legal Criminology and Security Psychology from the University of Ibadan. He further trained in Civil-Military Coordination at the Martin Luther Agwai International Leadership and Peacekeeping Training Centre, Jaji, Kaduna.
He is a member of several professional bodies, including the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), the International Public Relations Association (IPRA), and the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPM).
A seasoned officer, Hundeyin has served in various communication and administrative roles. He was once the spokesperson at Zone 2 Command Headquarters, Onikan, Lagos, and part of Nigeria’s contingent to the United Nations Peacekeeping Mission in Darfur, Sudan, in 2020. He also worked as an Administrative Officer at the Force Headquarters, Abuja, and until his latest appointment, was the Police Public Relations Officer for Lagos State Command.
IGP Egbetokun urged him to deploy his wealth of experience to enhance police-public relations and strengthen the image of the Force.
The outgoing spokesman, Deputy Commissioner of Police Olumuyiwa Adejobi, handed over the baton yesterday in Abuja.
