The Federation of Ibadan Students’ Union (FIBSU) has congratulated Comrade Afolabi Temitope, popularly known as Big Afo, on his victory as the newly elected President of the Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (MAPOLY) Students’ Union Government.
In a statement issued by its National President, Aare Giwa Kamorudeen Olawale, the student body described Afolabi’s emergence as a reflection of the trust and confidence reposed in him by the Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (MAPOLY) student community.
“Your victory is a testament to your vision, capacity and commitment to serve,” the statement read. “We are convinced that your leadership will uphold the ideals of unionism by promoting welfare, defending rights and advancing your colleagues’ intellectual and social development.”
FIBSU also commended MAPOLY students for their active participation in the electoral process, saying their conduct showed a commitment to democracy and student union values.
The union pledged solidarity with Afolabi’s administration and expressed readiness to collaborate in the pursuit of student welfare and development.
“May your tenure be marked with impactful programmes and lasting legacies,” Olawale added.
