Drama As Activist Mama P Confronts Labour Party Chair Abure Mid-Flight

There was commotion at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, on Friday when Precious Oruche, a popular activist widely known as Mama P, reportedly launched an attack on the factional National Chairman of the Labour Party, Julius Abure.

The clash, which began in the departure lounge while both were waiting to board a Max Air flight to Benin, spiralled into a public spectacle that stretched throughout the journey.

Confirming the incident in a statement on Saturday, the Labour Party’s National Publicity Secretary, Obiorah Ifoh, alleged that Mama P not only confronted Abure at the boarding area but also persisted with the assault during the flight.

According to Ifoh, attempts by cabin crew to calm the activist proved futile, as she allegedly continued to hurl words and record the episode on her phone, drawing the attention of passengers.

The situation, witnesses said, turned even rowdier on arrival at the Benin Airport, where Mama P was said to have resumed her confrontation with the Labour leader amid a crowd of onlookers.

Security operatives reportedly whisked Abure to safety, while Mama P was handed over to the police for questioning.
