Tension has gripped Benue State following the abduction of the Principal Special Assistant to the Governor on Youth and Media Mobilisation, Mr Atu Terver, widely known as Krayzeetee.
The incident came to light late Tuesday when his wife raised the alarm in a social media post. According to her, she had received a distress call from her husband in a shaky voice, saying: “I have been abducted, call mummy.”
Subsequent attempts to reach him on phone proved abortive, sparking fears over his safety.
Terver, a vocal member of Governor Hyacinth Alia’s media team, has recently been in the news after sacking one of his aides who joined a protest against killings in the state.
As of the time of filing this report, neither the state government nor security agencies had confirmed the abduction or given details of rescue efforts.
