An Abuja-based real estate and construction company, Tbash Global Ltd, has donated over 1,000 notebooks to support students participating in the annual summer school programme of the Offa Students’ Union (OSU) National Headquarters.
The donation, made earlier today, was facilitated by the firm’s Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Olagoke Bashir Taye, an indigene of Offa and former contestant for the OSU National Headquarters leadership in 2014.
Represented at the event by Comrade Abdulazeez Majeed Olanrewaju (Achiever), Mr. Taye’s gesture was described as a demonstration of his continued commitment to youth development and education in his hometown.
He was accompanied by comrades Adekunle Mutairu Otaobayomi (World Best), Oyetunji Shukroh Oyinkansola, and Ibrahim Maryam Omotayo.
The OSU Summer School is an annual educational programme that provides academic enhancement, enrichment activities, skills development, and cultural exposure for students during the long vacation.
The initiative has become one of the Union’s flagship projects, attracting wide support from stakeholders within and outside the Offa community.
Receiving the books on behalf of the Union, Comrade Mustapha Taiye Abdulbasit, the 2014/2015 National President of the Offa Students’ Union, commended Mr. Taye for giving back to society and for identifying with the vision of OSU in nurturing young minds.
He assured that the notebooks would go a long way in assisting students and motivating them to maximize the learning opportunities offered by the summer programme.
