Primate Ayodele Warns Governors, Akpabio Over Second-Term Ambitions

Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has issued a cautionary message to several Nigerian governors and Senate President Godswill Akpabio, warning that their second-term bids may not be guaranteed.

In a statement by his media aide, Oluwatosin Osho, the cleric listed Akwa Ibom, Delta, Enugu, Cross River, Ondo, Kaduna, and Zamfara as states where incumbent governors could face significant hurdles in securing re-election unless they “work hard and pray fervently.”

“The governors of these states must work very well to get a second term in office. It is not certain for them except they work hard and pray,” Ayodele warned.

The cleric also cautioned Akpabio to be “careful and prayerful” to retain his position as Senate President, noting that “I see his position being traded; he must work very hard to avoid it.”

Ayodele further predicted that some senators and members of the House of Representatives may not return for a second term, while specifically advising Senator Ned Nwoko of Delta State to shelve his governorship ambition, saying, “It is not yet his time.”
