The Obidient Movement has called on Nigerians to anticipate the political resurgence of former Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi.
The declaration, “Peter Obi is coming,” was made during the inauguration of Ward Coordinators in the Municipal Local Government Area by the movement’s Kano State chapter.
In a statement on Saturday, the National Coordinator of the movement, Yunusa Tanko, said the event also featured the unveiling of the “Peter Obi Prosperity Cap,” which symbolises the transition “from consumption to production” and a collective resistance against hunger, corruption, and the misuse of public resources.
“As the Obidient Movement continues to cascade down to the grassroots, the Kano State chapter has successfully inaugurated Ward Coordinators in the Municipal Local Government Area, one of the most strategic and influential LGAs in Kano State,” the statement read.
Tanko added that leaders from Jigawa and Katsina States attended the occasion in solidarity and pledged to replicate the initiative in their respective states.
“The Prosperity Cap is a symbol for all Nigerians – a call to action for good governance, accountability, and a better future under Peter Obi’s leadership. Peter Obi is coming. A New Nigeria is POssible,” the statement added.
