The Oyo State Primary Health Care Board has issued a public clarification over an error in its recently released recruitment advertisement, which mistakenly included vacancies for Auxiliary Nurses.
In a statement signed by the Director of Special Duties, Dr. Akande Abiodun, the Board said the advert was intended to list openings for Junior Community Health Extension Workers (JCHEW) and Community-Based Volunteers (CBVs), tagged as “Auxiliary Providers.”
“The inclusion of Auxiliary Nurses in the content was unintentional and arose from an error during the preparation of the notice,” the statement read. “For the avoidance of doubt, the Board is not recruiting Auxiliary Nurses and has no plans to do so at any time in the foreseeable future.”
The management expressed regret over the mix-up, apologising for any confusion it may have caused, and urged members of the public to rely solely on official communication channels for accurate information.
