The Deputy Majority Leader of the Offa Local Government Legislative Council, Hon. Iyabo Rofiat Ajibade, has joined the growing list of prominent voices celebrating the reappointment of Dr. Muheeba Dankaka as Executive Chairman of the Federal Character Commission (FCC).
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu had earlier today renewed Dr. Dankaka’s mandate for another five-year term.
Tinubu cited her sterling performance, commitment to fairness, and outstanding contributions to national development.
In a statement issued in Offa, Hon. Ajibade described the reappointment as “a well-earned reward for years of steadfast service” and “a clear message that integrity and dedication do not go unnoticed.”
She commended Dr. Dankaka’s leadership style, which she said has strengthened the commission’s capacity to foster unity and equitable representation across the country’s diverse regions.
“This is not just a win for Dr. Dankaka; it is a victory for Kwara State, the North Central region, and Nigeria as a whole.
“Her renewed mandate will inspire more women to take up leadership roles and serve with courage and commitment,” Ajibade said.
The council leader praised President Tinubu for recognising and rewarding competence, describing the gesture as a boost to public confidence in the administration’s ability to match responsibility with proven capacity.
She also lauded the Kwara State Governor and Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq CON, for what she called his “quiet but strategic influence” in ensuring Kwara’s strong representation in federal appointments.
Hon. Ajibade prayed for Allah’s continued guidance, wisdom, and strength for Dr. Dankaka, urging her to consolidate on her first-term achievements and remain a beacon of hope and pride for Kwara State.
Dr. Muheeba Dankaka, a respected administrator and advocate for fairness in governance, will lead the FCC alongside newly appointed commissioners representing states and the FCT in line with the commission’s constitutional mandate.
