Ibom Air passenger Charged Over Unruly Behaviour, Remanded In Kirikiri

A female passenger, identified as Comfort Emmanson, has been charged to court and remanded at the Kirikiri Correctional Centre for allegedly assaulting airline officials on an Ibom Air flight from Uyo to Lagos.

The Special Adviser on Media and Communications to the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Tunde Moshood, disclosed the development in a post on X on Monday.

According to Moshood, the court ordered Emmanson’s remand following her disruptive conduct on board the flight.

The action comes amid fresh warnings from the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) that enforcement measures against unruly passengers will be intensified across the country’s airports, citing a rise in such incidents.

The incident follows closely on the heels of a similar altercation involving Fuji musician, King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, also known as KWAM 1 or K1, who reportedly attempted to stop a ValueJet aircraft from departing after he was deboarded.
