
Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni, has approved the appointment of Hon. Ismaila Ahmed Gadaka as the new Emir of Gudi, following the death of Alhaji Isa Bunuwa Madugu Ibn Kaji last Thursday.
The appointment was contained in a statement issued on Saturday by Shuaibu Abdullahi, Press Secretary to the Secretary to the State Government.
Gadaka, a former Member of the House of Representatives for Fika/Fune Federal Constituency (2011–2019), also served as Yobe State Commissioner from 2007 to 2010. He currently chairs the Governing Council of the Federal College of Education, Yawuri, in Kebbi State, as well as the Local Government Project Monitoring and Evaluation Committee.
A banker by profession, Gadaka previously worked with UBA and Standard Trust Bank, rising to the position of Business Manager. Until his appointment as Emir, he held the traditional title of Yariman Gudi.
The late Emir of Gudi, Alhaji Isa Bunuwa Madugu Ibn Kaji, passed away in Abuja after a prolonged illness.
