A fire outbreak on Friday disrupted operations at Fresh FM, a popular Ibadan-based radio station, located in the Felele area of Ibadan South-West Local Government Area, Oyo State.
The blaze, which reportedly started a few hours earlier, forced a halt to broadcasting and other activities at the station. As of press time, the cause and extent of the damage remained unconfirmed.
Speaking to the General Manager of Oyo State Fire Services, Rev. Akinyemi Akinyinka, said, “Our men are on the ground. The situation is under control.”
Fresh FM, founded by renowned musician and broadcaster Yinka Ayefele, is widely regarded as one of the most listened-to radio stations in Ibadan.
