Veteran Nollywood Actor Tom Njemanze Dies At 75

Veteran Nollywood actor, Tom Njemanze, has died at the age of 75.

He reportedly passed away on Friday after a protracted battle with prostate cancer.

Njemanze, who rose to prominence in the 1990s, earned widespread acclaim for his stellar performances in notable films such as Tokunboh, Pounds and Dollars, Atosa, Issakaba, Osuofia in London, Brain Box, and Igbotic Love.

Celebrated for his expressive delivery and commanding on-screen presence, Njemanze remains an enduring icon in the annals of Nigerian cinema.

Tributes have continued to pour in from colleagues, friends, family, and fans, who are praying for the peaceful repose of his soul and strength for his bereaved family.

It will be recalled that filmmaker Stanley Ontop had, in a video posted on Instagram, revealed that Njemanze had been diagnosed with prostate cancer and appealed for financial support for urgent surgery.
