Tinubu Signs Four Tax Reform Bills into Law

The Emir of Daura, His Royal Highness Alhaji Umar Farouk Umar, has affirmed that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu remains the preferred candidate of the Daura Emirate for the 2027 presidential election.

The monarch made this known on Saturday while receiving Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, who led a delegation of eminent women on a condolence visit to the family home of the late President Muhammadu Buhari in Daura, Katsina State.

Accompanying the First Lady were wives of National Assembly leaders, governors, ministers, service chiefs, and other notable personalities.

During the visit to Hajia Aisha Buhari, widow of the late President, prayers were offered for the repose of Buhari’s soul and for strength for the bereaved family. The delegation also visited the graveside of the former President for a brief prayer before proceeding to the residence of Alhaji Mamman Daura, the late President’s uncle and close associate.

Describing the late Buhari as “an accomplished patriot who made his family, hometown, state, and nation proud,” Senator Tinubu lauded his legacy of discipline, sacrifice, and national service. In response, Alhaji Mamman Daura expressed gratitude for the visit, describing it as a demonstration of profound respect and enduring solidarity.

At the Emir’s palace, the First Lady extended condolences to the Daura Emirate over the passing of one of its most distinguished sons.

In a show of firm political support, the Emir praised President Tinubu’s leadership and assured the First Lady of Daura Emirate’s steadfast loyalty ahead of the 2027 general elections.

“President Tinubu is our choice for 2027,” the Emir declared. “We stand firmly behind him and will continue to support his administration towards greater success.”
