Suspected bandits have abducted a local farmer, Malam Isiya Abdullahi, and killed his 25-year-old son, Suleman Isiya, during an early morning raid on their residence on the outskirts of Doka Maijima’a village, Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

The assailants reportedly stormed the area around 2:00 a.m., wielding machetes and other dangerous weapons. They allegedly carried out the operation with coordinated precision.

Eyewitnesses disclosed that Suleman was fatally stabbed while attempting to shield his father from the attackers. He was rushed to a nearby hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.

In response, security operatives, including Nigerian troops and other law enforcement agencies, have commenced a coordinated manhunt to rescue the abducted farmer and apprehend the perpetrators.

“The motive behind the attack remains unknown, and no group has taken responsibility,” a local source stated.

The incident has heightened fear and anxiety among residents of Doka Maijima’a, who continue to grapple with recurrent security breaches in the area.

The Kaduna State Police Command has yet to release an official statement regarding the attack.
