[PHOTOS] ED NCDC Kwara, Bilqis Sanni Celebrates Dr. Mbaeri at Colourful Retirement Dinner

Bilqis Jumoke Sanni, the Executive Director representing Kwara State at the North Central Development Commission (NCDC), joined other dignitaries in Abuja yesterday, Friday, July 4, at a grand retirement dinner held in honour of Dr. Maurice Nnamdi Mbaeri, Ph.D., FCA, NPoM, OON, the outgoing Permanent Secretary of the General Services Office in the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (OSGF).

Sanni, who attended the ceremony alongside her colleague, Executive Director Uloko of NCDC Benue State, described the evening as “a fitting tribute to a distinguished public servant who dedicated over three decades of his life to strengthening governance and service delivery in Nigeria.”

The vibrant dinner, which coincided with Dr. Mbaeri’s 60th birthday, drew top government officials, including the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Sen. George Akume, and several serving and retired Permanent Secretaries.

It featured moving tributes, speeches, cultural performances, and a symbolic cake-cutting; all in celebration of celebrant’s decades of impactful service.

Sanni expressed admiration for Dr. Mbaeri’s sterling leadership.

“Dr. Mbaeri’s dedication to the public service has been an inspiration to many of us in government today. His professionalism and integrity remind us all of the value of commitment to our nation,” she said.

She added that she felt privileged to represent the people of Kwara State and the North Central region at the occasion. “Moments like this remind us to celebrate excellence and uphold the standards set by those who came before us. It was truly heartwarming to witness the outpouring of respect for Dr. Mbaeri,” Sanni noted.

The dinner also marked the formal handover of Dr. Mbaeri’s responsibilities to Mr. Mohammed Sanusi Danjuma, who will now oversee the General Services Office.
