The founder and General Overseer of Altar of Prayer and Ministry Worldwide, Pastor Segun Adeniran, has donated a solar-powered water borehole to the people of Oke Ilala, in Oyun Local Government Area of Kwara State.
The borehole was officially commissioned on Sunday, 27 July 2025, in a ceremony attended by dignitaries and community leaders. Pastor Adeniran was accompanied to the event by His Royal Highness, the Onipee of Ipee, Oba Muftau Adebayo Titiloye III.
Speaking during the dedication, Baale Rasheed Aweda O., the Mogaji of Oke Ilala, expressed deep gratitude for the donation, noting that water scarcity has long been a challenge in the community, particularly during the dry season.
“We thank God for this great opportunity. During the dry season, getting water becomes extremely difficult for our people. This borehole is a tremendous relief. We sincerely appreciate our pastor for this life-changing gesture, and we also thank the Onipee of Ipee for his constant support to the community,” Baale Aweda said.
A resident of the community, Mrs Kuburat Atunbi, echoed similar sentiments. “We’ve suffered from water scarcity for years. This project means a lot to us. We are deeply grateful for Pastor Segun Adeniran’s intervention,” she stated.
In his remarks, Oba Muftau Titiloye III commended the pastor for his generosity and dedication to social development. The monarch also urged residents to protect and properly maintain the borehole for the benefit of present and future generations.
“This is a noble contribution to society. I commend Pastor Adeniran for his thoughtfulness. It is now the duty of the community to ensure that this facility is used responsibly and preserved,” the monarch stated.
The event marked a significant milestone for Oke Ilala residents, who now have access to clean and reliable water, thanks to the intervention of a faith-based organisation committed to improving lives.
