
A team of professionals under the aegis of Offa Engineers has carried out an on-the-spot inspection of the ongoing construction work on the Afon – Ojoku – Offa Road.
The Afon–Ojoku–Offa Road is an inter-community road in Kwara State, connecting Afon (in Asa Local Government Area) through Ojoku to Offa (in Offa LGA). Upon completion, it will as a vital link for economic, educational, and social activities among communities in Asa, Oyun, and Offa LGAs, especially for farmers, traders, and commuters.
Offa Engineers monitoring team led by Engr. Oyeladun combed through the length of the project site on Tuesday, July 16, with a focus on evaluating the quality of work, structural compliance, and adherence to specifications.
During the inspection, Engr. Oyeladun and his team assessed the road’s drainage system, earthworks, and surfacing techniques.
They also held a direct engagement with the on-site engineers and construction workers, raising technical observations and reaffirming the need to maintain professional engineering standards throughout the project.
Speaking to newsmen after the exercise, Oyeladun, who represented Engr. Maruf Olalekan Ajenifuja, President of Offa Engineers, stressed that the group’s intervention is rooted in a broader commitment to accountability and excellence in local infrastructure delivery.

Offa Engineers added that they would continue to monitor the project until completion and promised to issue periodic assessments to keep the public informed.
