The Mallam Saliu Mustapha (MSM) Titans, a prominent grassroots support group backing Senator Saliu Mustapha’s 2027 governorship ambition, met with the lawmaker yesterday to reaffirm their commitment to his vision for Kwara State.
The meeting which took place at the senator’s constituency office in Ilorin on Monday, brought together coordinators from across Kwara State’s sixteen local government areas.
The gathering served as both a strategy session and a show of solidarity for Senator Mustapha, who currently represents Kwara Central Senatorial District and holds the traditional title of Turaki of Ilorin Emirate.
Speaking at the meeting, Shehu Afunja, the MSM Titans State Coordinator, expressed the group’s dedication to mobilizing grassroots support for Senator Mustapha’s 2027 campaign.
He said, “We believe Mallam Saliu Mustapha has the capacity, vision, and track record to take Kwara to greater heights. Our coordinators are fully ready to engage every community across the state.”
The session also featured contributions from key coordinators including Saliu Umar Haliru (Kaiama), Alhassan Halidu (Baruten), Abubakar Saidu Bana (Edu), Mustapha Saheed (Offa), Tajudeen Abiodun Yusuf (Offa), Ahmad Oyinlola Olatoke (Oyun), Muhammad Aliyu (Ilorin South), Miss Fateemah Zubair (representing Patigi), Abidemi Abiola Adesanya (MSM Titans Women’s Wing), and Adeniran James Temitope (Ifelodun), among others.
In his remarks, Senator Mustapha thanked the coordinators for their steadfastness, stressing the importance of grassroots engagement and unity of purpose.
It will be recalled that the MSM Titans had in April 2025 organized a political symposium themed “Mallam Saliu Mustapha: The Panacea of Development” at Mobolaji Hotel, near Kara Market in Kaiama, Kaiama Local Government Area of the state.
