A disturbing report has emerged on social media alleging that a Nigerian man murdered his girlfriend in a bid to stop her from travelling abroad—and subsequently married her corpse.
The incident, which has sparked widespread outrage online, was shared by a user on X (formerly Twitter), identified as @babypeekor, who claimed the deceased was her friend’s sister.
According to the narration, the victim had been making preparations to leave the country. However, her boyfriend was reportedly opposed to her travel plans. In a tragic turn of events, he allegedly killed her to prevent her from leaving.
The suspect was said to have been arrested shortly after the incident, but was later released on bail through the intervention of his family. Shockingly, the same family is alleged to have gone ahead to arrange a marriage ceremony between the suspect and the deceased.
