The Parliament Event Centre, Igosun Road, Offa, comes alive today, July 6, 2025, as dignitaries, community leaders, friends, and family members gathered to celebrate the 60th birthday of Alhaji Chief Adebowale Abdulateef Adedeji (RPA), the Aare Atobashe of Offa.
The event, hosted as a Birthday Breakfast Prayer and Buffet, also served as a personal memoir honouring the remarkable contributions of Alhaji Chief Adebowale, whose six decades have been marked by professional excellence, community service, and cultural leadership.
In his glowing tribute, Hon. Seun Ogunniyi Adato, member representing Ojomu/Balogun Constituency in the Kwara State House of Assembly, described the celebrant as “a man whose name commands respect, whose presence brings inspiration, and whose journey stands as a beacon of excellence.”
Alhaji Chief Adebowale, a seasoned professional in journalism, advertising, and branding, was lauded for his mastery of communication and for shaping narratives that have defined both Kwara’s media landscape and broader public discourse.
His tenure as General Manager of the Kwara State Broadcasting Corporation (Radio Kwara) was highlighted as a pinnacle of achievement that continues to inspire media professionals today.
“Through the power of the written and spoken word, he has informed the public, built trusted brands, and elevated voices that needed to be heard,” Hon. Adato stated.
He added that the celebrant’s creativity and strategic insight have empowered organizations and left an indelible mark on the industry.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Alhaji Chief Adebowale was celebrated as a true son of Offa who has carried the weight of tradition with grace.
As Aare Atobashe of Offa, he has demonstrated unwavering commitment to cultural heritage and community development.
His service on community-based initiatives, notably the annual Ijakadi Festival – where he contributed to comprehensive publicity strategies as a member of the Central Working Committee and Publicity Subcommittee – reinforcing his dedication to Offa’s cultural renaissance.
Hon. Adato praised Chief Adebowale’s exceptional qualities of tact, diplomacy, and emotional intelligence, describing him as “a leader and mentor who listens actively, values every voice in the room, and supports collective goals over individual credit.”
Adato added that the celebrant doesn’t fall short of his lineage, as a proud son of Alhaji Major Bayo Adedeji (Rtd), a man of strong character who serves as Chairman of the Offa Patients’ Welfare Committee, providing vital support to the sick and vulnerable in the community.
Alhaji Chief Adebowale, who is also a devout Muslim and family man enjoying the love of his grandchildren, was showered with prayers for continued health, peace, and fulfilment in the years ahead.
