Renowned construction mogul and philanthropist, Dr. Kehinde Alex Bankole, has declared his intention to contest for the House of Representatives seat representing Ekiti/Isin/Oke Ero/Irepodun Federal Constituency on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The declaration, made recently at the monthly All Progressives Congress (APC) ward meeting in Ekan town, was witnessed by a large crowd of party faithful, community elders, youth groups, and well-wishers.
Dr. Bankole, the founder of KAB Constructions Ltd and the Kehinde Alex Bankole Foundation, said his aspiration to represent the people at the National Assembly was borne out of a deep desire to serve and fix what he described as the “longstanding neglect and underdevelopment” of the area.
“This is not just a political ambition. It’s a commitment to change the story of our people — to provide security, better infrastructure, empower our youths and women, and support our farmers,” Bankole said inter-alia.
A respected security expert, the real estate developer assured constituents of strategic interventions to tackle rural insecurity, promising to collaborate with security agencies for safer communities.
“As someone trained in security, I understand what it takes to make our communities safer. We will bring solutions, not excuses,” he stated.
He outlined his development blueprint, focusing on infrastructure renewal, youth and women empowerment, agricultural support, and education. He also pledged to leverage his foundation’s existing partnerships to attract employment and entrepreneurship opportunities for the constituency’s teeming youth population.
“We will open up access to training, funding, and mentorship to empower our people,” he assured.
On agriculture, Bankole promised to support farmers with modern tools, inputs, and improved market access, noting that food security and local productivity would be a top priority under his representation.
As a strong advocate of education, the aspirant emphasized his belief in equal educational access, vowing to sponsor laws and programmes that promote schooling across the rural areas.
“I believe that Every Child Must Be Educated. No child in our constituency should be left behind,” he declared.
Dr. Bankole, who hails from a royal lineage, also called for the recognition and strengthening of traditional institutions, stating that traditional rulers remain essential stakeholders in community development and governance.
“Our traditional rulers are closer to the people. We’ll push for their inclusion in national decision-making,” he noted.
As the 2027 elections draw closer, Dr. Bankole’s emergence adds momentum to the growing demand for vibrant, visionary, and people-centered leadership across the grassroots in Kwara South.
