Kidnapper Hijacks Victim’s TikTok, Uploads Videos from Kwara Forest Hideout

A chilling twist has emerged in the abduction case of a popular Point of Sale (POS) agent, known as Yman, who was kidnapped in late June 2025 alongside several others in Kwara North.

In a brazen show of impunity, a terrorist linked to the abduction has hijacked Yman’s TikTok account and is now using it to upload videos directly from their forest hideout — unmasked and unafraid.

Sources told Newsbulletin Nigeria that since the kidnapping, the abductors have been demanding ransom and sending distressing updates via Yman’s WhatsApp account. But the latest move has shocked many: at least seven videos have now surfaced on his TikTok page, showing the kidnapper’s face, the surrounding forest terrain, and the motorcycle allegedly used in their criminal operations.

“He’s even been calling us with Yman’s number,” a family member disclosed. “They sent a video of Yman crying, begging for help due to hunger and torture. Now they’ve taken over his TikTok and are confidently posting content.”

The disturbing clips, which had attracted over 10,000 views within 24 hours, have raised public outcry over Nigeria’s faltering security response. Many Nigerians have taken to social media to question how a criminal could operate so freely with a known victim’s phone number without facing any form of surveillance or arrest.

“There’s no fear,” the family member added. “The bandit is not even covering his face because he knows the Nigerian government can’t or won’t track him. This country is finished.”

Despite the digital trail left by the kidnapper, security agencies have yet to issue a statement or provide an update on efforts to rescue the victims.

In a related incident from August 2024, Newsbulletin Nigeria reported on another viral video in which a terrorist asked Nigerians to submit their bank account numbers as a token of appreciation for those who praised notorious bandit leader, Mohammed Bello Turji Kachalla, during protests over economic hardship.

That video also attracted widespread attention, with some Nigerians surprisingly responding with their bank details — a troubling sign of growing extremism and state failure.

The latest development adds another layer to the ongoing security crisis and highlights the urgent need for a coordinated, technology-driven crackdown on terror-linked activities operating under the radar of Nigeria’s security apparatus.
