IMO Mourns the Passing of Chief Banji Olawoyin

With a heart heavy with grief, I join the good people of Offa and beyond in mourning the passing of Chief Banji Olawoyin, the late Bobajiro of Offa, who departed this world on Friday, July 11, 2025.

Double Chief, as he was fondly called by his admirers, was a man of rare character—principled, compassionate, and deeply committed to community development. As the first son of the legendary Chief J.S. Olawoyin, a founding pillar of progressive politics in Kwara State, he’s not only upheld his father’s legacy but enriched it through a life defined by purposeful service, humility, and unwavering dedication to humanity.

His generosity knew no bounds. His wisdom—rooted in tradition and guided by modern insight—made him respected across generations. He was more than a titleholder; he was a bridge builder and a true son of Offa.

His passing is a profound and irreplaceable loss to the Offa community and to all who had the privilege of knowing him. I extend my deepest condolences to the entire Olawoyin family and all who mourn this great man.

May Almighty God console the bereaved, forgive his shortcomings, and grant Chief Banji Olawoyin eternal rest in Paradise.

His legacy will continue to guide and inspire us for generations to come.
