Hon Abdulwaheed Gbenga Yussuf JK, member of the Kwara State House of Assembly representing the Essa/Shawo/Igboidun Constituency, has commended the exceptional performance of the Kwara State contingent at the prestigious 2025 President’s Inter-Secondary Schools Debate.

In his congratulatory message, Hon. JK praised the dedication, intelligence, and eloquence displayed by the students, describing their participation as a reflection of the steady and remarkable growth in the state’s education sector.

He noted that the students’ achievements on the national stage were not accidental, but rather a direct result of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq’s unwavering commitment to educational transformation in Kwara State.

“The consistent investments in school infrastructure, the recruitment and training of teachers, and the emphasis on academic excellence are all bearing visible fruit.

The Kwara team’s outstanding performance at this year’s national debate competition is a proud moment for all Kwarans,” Hon. JK remarked.

He extended heartfelt congratulations to the teachers, mentors, and educational administrators who worked tirelessly to prepare the students for the competition, highlighting their behind-the-scenes contributions as the bedrock of the students’ success.

He also commended the participating students for their intellectual depth and eloquence.

Special praise was offered to Aishat AbdulAzeez, a brilliant student of Nawair-ud-Deen Grammar School, Offa, whose exceptional performance brought honour to the Offa community.

“Aishat has not only made Offa proud but has also become a beacon of inspiration for other students across the state. Her achievement shows what is possible when talent meets opportunity,” he stated.

Furthermore, Hon. JK lauded the gesture of the Speaker of the House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Yakubu Danladi, for recognizing the students’ success by gifting each of them a laptop, a token of appreciation aimed at encouraging academic excellence and equipping them for future learning.

He encouraged the Kwara State Government to continue on its current trajectory of educational reform and support, emphasizing that the future of the state lies in nurturing its young minds.

Hon. Abdulwaheed Gbenga Yussuf JK concluded by urging all stakeholders in the education sector, including parents, school authorities, and community leaders to continue playing active roles in supporting students. Such collaborative efforts, he noted, will further uplift the standard of education in the state and across the nation.

Signed,
