President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reiterated his administration’s commitment to delivering critical infrastructure across all geopolitical zones, assuring Nigerians that no region will be left behind in the country’s development agenda.
Speaking at the official commissioning of the newly completed rural road from the A2 Junction on the Abuja–Lokoja Expressway to Pai community in Kwali Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Tinubu described infrastructure as a cornerstone of national progress and an enabler of inclusive growth.
The event, which marked his second year in office, underscored the administration’s resolve to make infrastructure a vehicle for improving lives and stimulating economic transformation.
“We will not stop. We will continue to roll out projects that make a real difference,” the President declared. “Until every Nigerian, from the city centers to the rural heartlands, feels the impact of good governance, our work is not done.”
He emphasized that the road project was not just a milestone in transportation, but a catalyst for broader socio-economic development.
“This road is more than just asphalt and concrete,” Tinubu said. “It is a gateway to agricultural growth, local enterprise, education, and mobility. It connects people to opportunity and dignity.”
President Tinubu also noted the strategic importance of rural communities like Pai, calling them essential to Nigeria’s food security and economic fabric.
For too long, he said, poor infrastructure had held back the full potential of such communities. “Today, that narrative is changing,” he added.
He urged residents to take ownership of the road and safeguard the investment made, stressing the role of community participation in sustaining development gains.
The commissioning event highlights the administration’s ongoing commitment to decentralizing development and bridging infrastructure gaps across all regions.
